Bethshan Ministries Limited Statement Of Faith

We believe that:

1. Holy Scripture is the revelation to man by God of Himself, His purposes and will as originally expressed, is Divine in inspiration and inerrant in statement. This Holy Scripture is supernatural and is expressed in the whole Bible of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments.

2.The Being of God is one yet triune. He has revealed Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one Substance, three Persons, eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, the proper object of worship and Sovereign over all.

3. The Eternal Son took our humanity unto his Godhead in His birth among us at Bethlehem. He lived a human life and died upon the Cross for our sins making possible forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with God from Whom sin has estranged us. Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son, rose bodily from the dead and ascended to the Eternal Father. He shall come again to judge the world and receive His own to Himself.

4.The Holy Spirit, Eternal and unseen, moves among men to bring conviction of me truths concerning God, sin and salvation, and He is operative in the lives of God's people to bring them to face the claims of His Holiness upon them.

5. Believers receive the Holy Spirit at conversion and are baptised by the Holy Spirit into one Body. The realisation of the Holy Spirit's fullness is the experience of the maturing Christian and is usually subsequent to conversion.

6. The existence and personality of the Devil are realities. Satan has sought and continues to seek to deface God's handiwork wherever he or his servants may find it. He will ultimately be cast into the place of eternal torment.

7. Man is a moral being with freedom of will to respond to or reject the Grace of God offered to him in Jesus Christ. In his natural state he stands a rebel against God, depraved and deserving only the judgment of the wrath of God upon his sinfulness. His only hope lies in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross. Through this and this alone can he be saved and come to the hope of eternal salvation and fellowship with God.

8.Believers are called to Holiness of life before God. Through the work of Christ and by the operation of me Holy Spirit they may walk blameless day by day, exhibiting in thought, speech and conduct the fruits of a holy life. In no sense can this be construed as a claim to sinless perfection.

9. In the power of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, believers have the assurance of their own resurrection to Eternal Life and endless fellowship with God. This confidence is the right, in Christ, of every forgiven soul.

10. The return of the Lord Jesus Christ is taught in Scripture. He is coming to gather His Church, militant and glorified to Himself that He might present it to His Father, redeemed and glorious- He is coming to sit in righteous and perfect judgement, upon all mankind, living and dead. He is coming to destroy finally the works of Satan and all evil. His coming makes possible me final act in the Divine drama of creation when the Eternal Son subordinates Himself and His Kingdom to the Eternal Father, that God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - may be all and in all
